Profile

Department of Computer Science and Engineering was established in the year 2002. It started undergraduate course with 60 students as intake and now strengthens to 90. In addition, PG programme M.E Computer Science and Engineering was started in the year 2012 with 18 students as intake. The department have been accredited by NACC/AICTE and Affiliated to Anna University Technology, Chennai. The promptness of the students to learn makes it easier for the department of computer science and engineering to produce top-quality engineers who are being recruited by companies all over the world.

• An ability to apply knowledge of mathematics, science and engineering fundamentals in computer engineering.
• An ability to design a system, component, or process to meet desired needs within realistic constraints such as economic, environmental, social, political, ethical, health and safety, manufacturability, and sustainability.
• An ability to identify and modify the functions of the internals of computer system software such as operating systems and compilers.
• An ability to apply Software Engineering principles, techniques and tools in software development.
• An ability to acquire programming skills for application development for the real-world problems.
• An ability to communicate effectively.
• An ability to create technical reports, presentations, and to communicate effectively.
• An understanding of professional and ethical responsibility.
• An ability to design and conduct experiments, as well as to analyze and interpret data to lay a foundation for solving complex problems.
• An ability to participate and succeed in various competitive examinations.
