Profile
The Department of Information Technology provides a quality learning environment, in terms of inspiring teachers, experience sharing and widening the knowledge horizon, interacting with experts from academia and industry, facilitating the student in the process of growth in the information technology field. In this direction, we have professors working with us who have more than 25 years of working experience in IT MNCs both inside and outside India. The dept. boasts of highly qualified staff members with dedication and commitment.
Activities
  • We have a technical association called Association of Information Technology (AIT) since 2008 which is run and managed by students themselves. Staff only plays an advisory role.
  • AIT Arranges industrial visit every semester. Some of the industries visited by our students are HCL, Lenova, Wipro, Mapples etc..
  • Organises guest lectures by calling experts from both academics and industry.
  • Conducts technical quiz competition and group discussion for other departments(CSE,IT,ECE)
  • An annual extravaganza of the dept. is the National level Technical symposium. The event is planned, executed and managed by students only.
  • Organises guest lectures by calling experts from both academics and industry.
  • Our student editorial board brings out our department magazine ‘InstincT’ containing technical articles from students and staff.
  • The IT department organizes Technical training in aptitude , Conducts workshops on upcoming technical topics.
  • Department library has more than 1600 prescribed books for the benefit of students and staff.
